Research Interests

The purpose of my research is to isolate and characterize all members of the Spiroplasma citri BR3-3X P58 multigene family.  P58 is a putative adhesin protein.  Three copies of the gene encoding P58 are present in S. citri strain BR3-3X.  One copy has been isolated and characterized.  I am interested in isolating and characterizing the other two genes of the P58 multigene family.
